DuraMatch™ transmission

DuraMatch™ transmission provides Auto Deceleration System (ADS) which automatically slows the truck when the accelerator pedal is released and brings the truck to a stop which helps to significantly extend brake life. In addition, this feature assists the driver to accurately position the truck in front of a load.

There are 10 ADS settings, programmable via the dash display by a service technician, which deliver different braking characteristics, from very gradual to aggressive, to suit the application. Controlled Power Reversal; the Pacesetter VSM™ controls the transmission to deliver smooth direction changes.

The VSM reduces the throttle to slow the engine, initiates auto-deceleration to stop the truck, changes the transmission direction automatically and increases the throttle to accelerate the truck. The system virtually eliminates tyre spin and shock loads on the transmission and significantly increases tyre life.

CAN bus technology

The CANbus system enables reliable operation of the truck, providing reduced wiring complexity and keeps them away from heat sources.

Non mechanical, Hall-Effect sensors and switches are environmentally sealed to IP66 standards to keep out water and debris (allowing the truck to be pressure washable) and are designed to outlast the life of the truck.

The Hyster Fortens™ is equipped with hassle-free hydraulic systems, featuring Leak-free Oring face seal fittings which reduce leaks for enhanced reliability.

Autospeed hydraulics

ADS automatically slows the truck when the accelerator pedal is released resulting in significantly extended brake and tyre life.

If the Autospeed Hydraulics option is selected when lifting a load, the engine speed is automatically increased to provide full hydraulic power. The Pacesetter VSM maintains the current travel speed (or prevents travel) until the operator steps on the accelerator.

No operator inching is required and productivity and efficiency is increased by simplifying operator actions.

Fuel efficiency

The energy-efficient ECO-eLo performance mode reduces energy consumption by up to 20% without compromising productivity. LSH increases productivity and lowers fuel consumption resulting in lower operating costs.

Oil immersed brakes are housed in and protected by a sealed unit, preventing contaminants and damage, so protecting them in dirty environments. This contributes to reduced maintenance and repair time and costs, which results in extended truck dependability and uptime.

The Hyster Stability Mechanism™ reduces truck lean in turns, improving lateral stability. The design enables the operator to travel over uneven surfaces with confidence.

Ergonomic cab

The innovative cab design offers easy access, excellent all-round visibility and conveniently located controls.

To optimise operator comfort, the full-suspension seat, together with the isolated powertrain delivers a whole body vibration of just 0.6m/s2. The Infinitely adjustable
tilt steering column allows operators to easily obtain a comfortable driving position.

Seat side E-hydraulics also add to operator comfort, with TouchPointTM mini-levers or cowl mounted mechanical hydraulic levers available to reduce operator fatigue on long shifts.
